Office 365 now available in the Mac App Store






The Microsoft brings the suite of Office 365 available now in the Mac App Apple Store. The software giant initially promised to bring Office applications to the Mac App Store by the end of 2018 but after a short delay is finally here.

Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, and OneDrive are all included as part of the Microsoft Office 365 suite of applications but you will need an active Office 365 subscription before you can use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook .

Apps are the same versions that were previously available to Mac owners via the Microsoft website, but now they are elegantly remanufactured, we would say in the Mac App Store. The biggest benefit is that Office applications will automatically update through the App Store instead of Microsoft's separate AutoUpdate (MAU) tool that is commonly used to update Office for Mac .

Apple welcomed this nice addition of Microsoft to the Mac App Store today. "We are excited to welcome Microsoft Office 365 to the new Mac App Store on MacOS Mojave," says Phil Schiller, senior vice president of global marketing at Apple. "Apple and Microsoft have worked together to bring this excellent Office productivity suite to the Mac users from the start. Now, with Office 365 on the Mac App Store, it's easier than ever to get the latest and greatest version of Office 365 for Mac, iPad, and iPhone. "

Microsoft offers a monthly free trial of Office 365, which at the end of the year will have to choose Office 365 Personal with $ 69.99 a year ($ 6.99 a month) or Office 365 Home with $ 99.99 the year ($ 9.99 per month). Office 365 Home covers office applications for up to six users on a PC or Mac, and both subscriptions have an additional 1TB of OneDrive storage per user and 60 minutes of Skype calls per month.
